    Thule

Solid rack. Easy to install and load. Locking mechanism convenient. Doesn’t rattle on hitch. Wheels don’t spin, so can’t role it sideways which would make easier to store.

    Everything They Claim...

...from my POV. Fortunately, Thule makes no claim about ease of assembly or quality of their assembly manual because it is even less useful than idea assembly instructions. THAT is the only reason I won't rate 5 stars. That little inconvenience was overcome with the always helpful YouTube. Otherwise, the rolling feature makes it incredibly easy to move from my Outback to my wife's Trailblazer and back. And all the other features do just what they're supposed to making it a terrific bike rack. Can't wait to get the 2 bike add on piece.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What types of bikes can the Thule T2 Pro XTR carry?

The XTR is constructed to carry standard bike frames. With generous cradles that can accommodate wider tires, you can carry fat bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, and kids’ bikes with at least 20-inch wheels. Tandem bikes cannot be transported on the carrier. For bikes with carbon frames or forks, always consult the bike manufacturer or dealer to check if a bike hitch carrier can be used without damaging the frame.

Do I need a trailer hitch for a Thule T2 Pro XTR?

To use a hitch mount bike rack such as the T2 Pro, you need a 1.25" (Class 1 or 2) or a 2" (Class 2 to 5) receiver hitch on your vehicle. Choose the option that matches the size of your receiver hitch. It is not recommended to use an adapter to change between sizes. A receiver hitch can be installed on just about any vehicle from small hatchbacks to minivans to oversized SUVs.

Does the Thule T2 Pro XTR lock?

Yes, integrated cable locks and lock knobs lock your bikes to the rack and the rack to your receiver hitch. Thule’s One-Key system lets you install or replace all
lock cylinders on your Thule products and use the same key for all racks and accessories. Three lock cores are included with the XTR.

Can I open my rear hatch with the Thule T2 Pro XTR installed?

Yes, the T2 Pro's HitchSwitch lever tilts up when not in use or tilts down for rear vehicle access without removing the rack, even when loaded with bikes. Depending on your vehicle and the clearance of your trunk lid or rear hatch, you may have partial or full access.

Can the Thule T2 Pro XTR get wet?

Yes, the T2 Pro can get wet. It won’t hurt the rack to get caught in the rain but remove the carrier before using an automatic car wash. Water from the road will also kick up around the car’s back. Your bike and your rack might both need washing after use in the rain. When the carrier is removed from the vehicle, it should be stored in a dry storage area. Remember to clean and maintain in accordance with the instructions.
