A great upgrade to the Star Yellow Jacket.

In 2010 Star sold their last yellow jacket rollable IK. I own that one as well as the previous version the 2006 yellow jacket. The Viper is like a combination of the Aire Force and the previous Star Yellow jackets, but built right. It has the drop stitch floor, and the inflated bow and stern for fit. GREAT thigh straps for stability and mastering your IK roll. The valves are finally in the right spot and not against your back as earlier versions. This boat is seamed...not stitched like the Aire...and will long outlive the competition. The only negative is the cheap nylon strap that holds the floor in, and that the bow cover needs to be resessed for taller paddlers so the valve cap has more room. I now have 3 Vipers, and love how they handle like a hardshell with all the benefits of the IK. Happy paddling is in store for all Viper purchasers. I really wish NRS had not merged with Star, but at least they are making some great boats again. I'm guessing Mike M had his hands in this design! Good luck!

    NICE DUCKY!

Ordered on the 1st, arrived on the 3rd, on the river the 4th. 1st impression; this is a nice, fun, playful Ducky. Ran class 2/3 today and it did very well. Pack out was manageable and the performance was great. I'll write another review after I take it up to Class 4+. 2 words - NICE DUCKY!
