I am new to bikerafting and was looking for a solution that would keep me warm plus offer splash protection during the cooler shoulder seasons. The challenge is finding apparel that I can both bike and raft in for day trips. I am just rafting in flatwater small inland lakes and slow flow rivers so immersion is not a huge concern. These NRS Farmer John 3.0 fit the bill perfectly. I can layer them over top of my cycling bibs comfortably plus still have room for extra base layers if needed. I find them both comfortable on the bike and in the raft. The full length zip is a huge plus! I'm 5' 2" 130 lbs. and the men's small fit me okay just a little long in the length which is a very common problem that I usually run into with any brand.

Opening both shoulders makes it much easier to get in and out of this suit. This is the way all John's should be. There's ankle zips too.
Got this suit so that I can choose a size that fits the rest of me and then fasten the shoulders with some extra length.
But, NRS botched the assembly. They put the soft flexible 'loop' of the velcro facing outward on the chest, and put the raspy stiff 'hook' part of the velcro facing inward on the straps. While putting the suit on, the dangling shoulder straps snag
everything. When the straps are fastened with some extra length, the inward facing 'hook' makes sore spots on my shoulder.

Great for fall kayak bass fishing. Very comfortable and keeps me warm in 40 degrees weather with just a thin top layer.
