    Great for backcountry trips!

I have a video review on my YouTube channel Lone Crow Adventures if you'd like to check out this stove in action.

I purchased the MSR reactor earlier this season and it has been amazing! I've used it extensively in the backcountry, on canoe trips and at car camping without any problems. I've even used it in the mountains during high wind and heavy rain situations. The burner works really fast to boil water for me to rehydrate our meals. It is also well constructed and will take some abuse. I highly recommend this product!!!

    Great for backpacking!

I bought this stove earlier this season and couldn't be happier with it's performance. It boils water quickly, efficiently and reliably. I've used it in high wind settings, rainy conditions and on extended trips with great success. I like that all the attachments fold into to each other. I also purchased the coffee press and this was a good investment. It makes reliable coffee that tastes great. Check out my video for a close up look at the MSR Reactor and the coffee press attachment.

MSR Reactor 1.7L Camping Stove System

First of all let me declare myself as an avid Dragonfly user. I bought the Reactor to add to my collection and try something new. The biggest drawback to the Reactor is that it is a one pot stove and practically a one stove pot. The pot will fit on a Dragonfly, but my pot I use with the Dragonfly won't fit on the Reactor. I like that all the pieces of the Reactor fit in the pot with either size fuel canister. I wish they would have put a self ignitor on the Reactor. I've run several unscientific tests to boil water outside (36 degrees, light breeze) with three stoves against the Reactor. The other stoves were white gas, propane and IsoPro. The Reactor was not noticeably any faster or any slower. It was quicker to set up and easier to set up. You can't use a wind screen, and you don't need to use one.
