I mostly a boulderer and really resisted getting a helmet, but I am also in the medical field. I see the end result of head injuries and just could not keep from practicing what I preach. Plus I don't always make the most graceful landings. So I guess I'm not cool and other climbers may make fun of me but hey, I'm an old crank now that I don't care if I don't look hip.

This helmet fits me well, is very light, and is super well ventilated. I took it on a ski tour in 30F weather the other day. That was the first time I've ever been able to put on my helmet at the trail head and take it back off the afternoon at the trail head. It ventilated the touring and ascent heat extremely well. I even had a buff on my head as it was a bit cold leaving the TH in the morning, and didn't have to take it off to stay cool.

Awesome lid. Light weight, comfortable, cool (both in temp and looks). Bought it to mount my GoPro and it works great. I have banged the crap out of it on multiple climbs and it keeps on ticking. It is dense foam covered with very study, lightweight plastic shell. Comfort bands inside serve as sweatbands (and holy cow, do they hold a lot of sweat!) and padding. You will not be disappointed.
