    This Gives Confidence

    My friends, who tend to be a little nervous in class IV water, seem to really be put at ease when I use these. When I forget them, or leave them on my small raft, they are not happy. I've never seem them really need them, but something about knowing they are there makes everyone happy. They also are effective to get back in the raft from the side if your not skilled at re-entry. I use two per thwart on a 14 foot Highside (which is a large tube raft) and that has worked out well for us.
