    Yakima LockUp

    I originally purchased a 3 spd RAT FINK Beach Cruiser Bike by ELECTRA which has an extended wheel base because it's configured to look like a chopper. After searching the web for a bike rack that might accommodate this extended wheel base I picked Yakima's Stickup. The Stickup looked to me to be a very simple, easy to operate, sturdy & secure way to transport my new bike. I had a 2" Hitch Receiver installed on my '11 Town & Country. I purchased the Yakima Stickup bike rack from a Sports Authority store. It was easy to assemble & install. Even though the bike's front tire extends slightly beyond the heavy wire on the Front Tray of the Stickup, the Locking Strap on the Rear Tray holds the rear wheel of the bike securely. With the aid of a 3/8" rope securing the front wheel to the Front Tray, the Locking Strap on the Rear Tray holding the rear wheel in place & the Sliding Arm on the Center Post securing the bike to the rack, I have no fears whatsoever of losing the bike due to vibration or jostling on rough roads. I purchased the Yakima Lockup in order to keep the bike from being stolen. Between the rear Locking Strap securing the rear wheel, the 3/8" rope securing the front wheel, the Lockup securing the bike to the rack with an ASSIST from the Heavy Duty Anti-theft Bike Chain w/ Heavy Duty Lock as backup security (I'm not sure if the Lockup cable is Bolt Cutter Proof), I feel that whosoever attempts to steal the bike is going to have a very tough time of it.
