It works well. I have used it on 2 separate week long river trips on the notoriously dirty Green River and I will say this -- keep it clean! As others have reported, if it starts to get clogged up inside it will leak water everywhere. However, IF YOU KEEP IT CLEAN, it works like a champ! I drank from it without reservation and didn't get sick, so I guess it worked!
