I purchased this kayak last year around late summer. I've had quite some time now to really paddle this beauty. This kayak was all I expected and more. It tracked beautifully through calm lake waters that I frequent in Sacramento and the lower American River that runs through the capital of Cali and out into the Sacramento River. Most of the lower river is class I and some class II sections. The kayak performed well on all. I was very impress on how maneurable it is.
With all the rains we've had in January, I've been having a wonderful time paddling on the swollen lower American River and having a blast. This kayak is solid due to the high pressure dropstitch sides and the aluminum frame that runs from fore to aft and along the bottom that creates a v hull for speed and tracking.
The kayak may feel a bit tippy when first boarded but that feeling translates to better maneuverability. Anyway you eventually get used to where the tipping point is on either side. I havent' rolled this kayak yet but have practiced on how to get back on if that does happen.
Intermediate to Advanced paddler use. Beginners welcome but know your capability.

I've always paddled hardshell kayaks but recently took the leap to inflatables because of the convenience factor. After a lot of research I decided on the Evo, I'm so happy I did. I can't tell the difference between this and my hardshell, it packs up to fit in the back of my Civic and performs ridiculously well on longer trips.
