    Durability

In 1990, I bought 2 of these boats and am still using them on class 3-4 white water, ocean surf, and fishing streams. Incredible toughness after at least 250 trips. I keep saying I need to buy a new one, but every year they still hold air.

    Aire Outfitter II

I brought two Aire Outfitter IIs. I set them up as single seat kayaks. They have more than enough capacity to self-support on a river trip for a week. We even carried five gallons of water in each boat. We paddled the Rio Chama in New Mexico, Muddy Creek in Utah, and the San Rafael River in Utah. The Outfitter is very stable. If I somehow lost both boats, I'd buy two more without hesitation. I'd recommend buying at least eight 4-foot NRS loop straps per boat to secure your gear if you're planning a multi-day trip on whitewater. I also bought a longer (240 cm) kayak paddle. The longer paddle is much easier to use with a wide kayak.
