Low Angle a more relaxed style of paddling that still allows higher performance. The lower hand position (your top hand should be at shoulder height throughout the stroke) puts significantly less wear on the smaller support muscles like shoulders, traps, biceps and triceps. Low angle designs have longer and narrower blades to match this lower entry angle to the water. Substantially increased dihedral keeps the blade stable as it travels further from the side of the boat.
