If only they could make the gasket go all of the way around.

The NRS Canyon dry box is just about the perfect size for my Aire Super Puma. I can get all of the kitchen supplies in there and, being a fairly simple plastic box it's light weight. The cam straps are of good quality. However the rubber gasket is about 3/8" short from making it all of the way around. It's a simple peel and stick weatherproofing type of thing, so not a big deal but come on people, you were so close.

    NRS Canyon Dry Box

I did not want to spend the extra money but after going through several cheaper boxes I am very happy. I plan on buying another.

NRS Version of the venerable York Pack

My cohorts use a York Pack which is no longer available. This is the closest item and is a very close match. The lip is not as wide so I utilized the side holes to construct handles which work perfectly. The capacity is amazing and the strap closures work great. I love my new dry box purchase. Great product. I look forward to many more river trips with my NRS Box.

    Best on the market

My hunting and fishing buddy introduced me to these boxes about 7 years ago. The design has been improved since then and in my opinion the new design is the best on the market for float hunting and many other adventures. They are big enough to fit the necessary gear but small enough for one guy to carry when loaded.

    Good dry box option

Have this and the Boulder dry box and they're primarily used for gear organization on non-river trips, but when it's been on the water they've been used as a kitchen box and dry food storage. Has kept contents dry when sitting out overnight in the rain and in the boat when pretty well splashed. Mostly used on flatwater and trips with only a handful of II & III rapids, but if you keep your boat upright and get a good closure/cinch on the straps it should be fine and I'd trust them in bigger water too -- planning to take these down Deso/Grey next year. Only downside is the top will deform if too much weight sits on it for too long (ie don't use it as a seat). Bottom line: for the price, this box is awesome and unless you're doing a ton of big water and think you'll be upside down, save yourself the cost and go with the canyon and boulder boxes.
