The Metolius Supercam features an optimized cam angle and a wider cam face for greater holding power. The cam lobe gives almost twice the range of conventional cams, and they are more stable than symmetric cams of the same size. The U-shaped body provides greater durability and control.

Pretty funky design. I do like the large range, though as a trade-off for that the trigger is a little harder to pull. If I was a much more serious climber and/or concentrating on off widths I would probably go for an easier to place cam, but would need a lot more. This is better for me as it covers a much bigger range, I only need one.
