Saris SuperClamp EX 2 Bike Hitch Rack (Closeout)

Great product , wasn’t easy to assemble but would recommend it

I bought this for our 2 adult cruiser bikes and they fit well on the rack. I like the built-in retractable cable lock too.

First, the assembly/installation instructions were great - it actually appeared that somebody had actually thought through all the instructions, wrote them and had somebody else assemble the rack FROM the instructions.

Second, our two bikes fitted in the rack perfectly with minor adjustments in what I call the stirrups and the hold-down J-Bars.

Third, I still haven't figured out the best way to use the bike-lockdown cable but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Finally, the rack is heavy-duty with the emphasis on HEAVY. This rack is 70 pounds and my wife will probably not be able to install it on the car alone. I doubt she has enough upper-body strength to lift it, carry it and slide the bar into the 2" receiver. To be fair, this was fully disclosed on line and wasn't a surprise. This was the only negative point.

Although I haven't used it a lot (just got it and installed it last week), I think this was be very useful.

This is a great bike rack. It is more stable and holds the bikes more firmly than any other I have had. I bought it because I got a new electric road bike and it was too heavy for me to lift onto my other rack where the bikes hung down. It hasn't solved my problem entirely because the bike is still heavier than I'm used to but it has certainly made loading it easier.

Love this rack. Light weight, easy to install and secure hold.
