Terrible Name For a Good Helmet

The helmet is light and comfortable with good coverage around my cranium. Also easy to tuck a pony tail in the helmet, which can be very important. I am a little weary of the durability, as I have only used it for a few weeks, but it has handled scrapes and life in the pack well.

My major complaint is the name: "Crag Sender," really? I almost did not buy the helmet because of the name. I try not to tell anyone the name of my helmet at the crag when they ask. How am I supposed to actually send my 5.5 project (Joshua Tree Ratings) when I am constantly weighted down by the thought that my primary protection on my head is called a "Crag Sender?" I don't send that hard and I am not too bothered by that. I don't need my helmet to try to make up for my climbing inadequacy, I have other coping mechanisms.

A great deal, perfect for outdoor use...

It's comfortable, durable, and very light weight which is great when backpacking. I like how there is a tightening notch so that it can get tighter around my skull without choking me with the straps. This is a definite must for any outdoor climbing, considering I scraped it up pretty well my first climb out just imagine the damage I could have done without it, I don't need to lose any more brain cells as it is already.

    Light weight and comfortable

My stage job now requires I wear safety equipment head gear I chose Mammut after a recommendation from a co-worker and am very impressed with the product and plan on upgrading after the holidays to the more vented helmet.
