    Tough boot

I have blown through 2 pairs in past 20 years. I put a lot of miles on these boots doing all types of outdoor activities. What I like: compression lace system keeps my foot where it needs to be and keeps toes off end of boot. Stiff soles eliminate toe flex and calf fatigue. Lacing system is robust. Boot design leans you forward a bit and helps with ergonomics of the hike. Stiff and durable uppers, excellent side hilling capabilities.

    What I dislike:

You have to waterproof them often. They can get cold in below freezing temps due to lack of insulation and how tight they fit. The soles will eventually peel off from the toe back. First pair did it. Thought it was a fluke deal. Next pair did it as well at about the 6 year mark. Had to use shoe goo to glue them back together and continue wearing them.

Overall, they are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. They hold up to alot of abuse, but most importantly, my feet are never sore, I have never gotten blisters either. Your feet are the most important part of the body when packing in deep. Invest in a good pair of boots to both carry you in and out of those **** holes. I elk hunt quite a bit. Every elk is packed out on my back. I have killed elk every year for the past 20 years and packed multiple animals out in one season on these boots. They hold up to the weight. I did 96 miles in one week on these boots and packed out 3 elk during that week. 10” of snow and rough weather all around. These boots did not let me down. In…

    Worth every penny!

I bought these for my boyfriend a couple years ago and he absolutely loves them. He's a lineman apprentice so he's constantly on his feet. The boots that he had prior we're very flimsy and hard to climb with, but these withstood the freezing temperatures in Kansas and blazing summers in Arizona. Definitely recommend 10/10! They're still in great condition but I plan on purchasing a new pair for him very soon.
