I have been SUPing on rivers since 2011. Over these last eight years, I have paddled so many boards, but this year, I fell in love with the Hala Atcha. From the progressive rocker to the StompBox retractable fin, the details of the board design are on point. On the river, I am sending it through bigger water and more challenging features than ever before and nailing it! I can confidently clean class III rapids standing on this vessel and am comfortable challenging myself in continuous class IV when I drop a knee. The stability combined with the precise tracking of this board has given me so much confidence to push my limits. Also, she surfs standing waves like a dream.

I bought an Atcha 9'6†and I absolutely love it. I do mostly down river along with multi day adventure trips. I'm 200 lbs with an added 55 lbs in gear, it handles it quite well. The stomp box design is great for the shallow rivers in late season or creeks. I don't fly forward every time I hit a rock now. You can eddy turn on a dime and catch little waves on he fly easily. It comes with a 6†fin and four 4†gummy fins but the 9†stomp bock fin is a great addition if you want a bit better tracking in bigger water and still get a retractable fin. It's what I've been looking for in a SUP. Hala fun times!
