Saris Bones 2 Bike Trunk Rack

Bought this rack a couple of months back for triathlon training on advice from the local bike shop. I have a 2012 Honda Civic Coupe, so putting my bike in and out of the car got old quick. The rack works well, my bike is sturdy when I drive, but I have only gotten up to 60mph with a bike in place. It installs and removes easy. I have to use the hatch hugger attachments on my car, and they make it difficult to use the car's trunk while the rack is in place, but that is minor. I have a women's hybrid bike (Specialized Vita) and it holds the bike without purchasing the women's bike attachment, in a little ghetto way. My complaint about the rack is all of the attachments and add-ons needed, example hatch huggers, female bike attachment, wheel stabilizer. My opinion, I paid $160 for the rack, can it not all be included already? But I do love this rack, and I get a lot of compliments on it.

I have had the Saris Bones 2 Model 805 for three years and I cannot say enough about it. It stores very compactly for the Winter months and is easy to open and adjust for setup. The components are strong and very light. The adjustments are easily accomplished and once installed on my vehicle(s) it stays in place with no worries. I have traveled 500 miles with no adjustments while mounted on the trunk. I can easily adjust it for any size or type bike (adult to children). It cleans very easily and doesn't need much care. I like the fact that it does not harm my car or the bike. When I purchased it, I could have bought something cheaper; but just like the word implies, they were cheaper. Cheaper made and cheaper in quality. If you want something that will last and that performs exactly as the manufacturer says; this is the one for you.
