American Canoe Association – The ACA is a nationwide, not for profit organization that is in service to the broader paddling public by providing education on matters related to paddling, supporting stewardship of the paddling environment, and enabling programs and events to support paddlesport recreation.

American Whitewater - The mission of AW is to conserve and restore America’s whitewater resources and to enhance opportunities to enjoy them safely. They also promote paddling safety, publishe reports on whitewater accidents, and maintain both a uniform International ranking system for whitewater rivers (the International Scale of Whitewater Difficulty) and the internationally recognized American Whitewater Safety Code.
