The King Joe Pro 2 works great on my 2011 Subaru Outback. After using it a few times, I can get it on in under 2 minutes and get it off in about 30 seconds. The rubber straps that secure your bike are very stiff ... hard to strap in at times. While a nuisance (especially when the weather is cold), they feel exceptionally durable and secure. The biggest con is I don't feel safe leaving my bikes on the rack unattended for any length of time. Unlike trailer hitch racks, it can't really lock onto your car, so someone could realistically remove your bike along with the rack. Even if they can't get the bottom hook off, they could simply cut the straps. This is just the inherent flaw of strapped on racks in my opinion...Overall it works great and is simple to operate. I even took 2 bikes from Houston to Fredericksburg without any problems (200+ miles). I would highly recommend the King Joe Pro 2 to anyone seeking a strapped on rack.

This was a very easy rack to install, and it will work on both my Ford Fusion and my Subaru Tribeca. That makes this all the more worth the money. When attaching thousands of dollars to your vehicle as they blow in the wind you want to be positive they will stay put. I drove 2 hours at 80 and they didn't even shake. We got this rack in place of a roof rack that was next to impossible to use on our SUV. Plus it is about half the cost. This will be perfect for both vehicles, and holds our 2 road bikes with no worries. The only downside to this rack, but with all trunk mounts, is that it can be stolen fairly easily so you can't just leave it up all the time unless you want to risk it. I am more than pleased with this purchase.
