Yakima HullyRollers - Roll out on your next boat trip with the easy to load HullyRollers from Yakima. Intended for any kayak or canoe with a rigid hull, the pivoting bases adjust to fit your boat. The Dynaflex padded rollers protect and grip your hull, then lock into place once loaded. Combine the Hully Rollers with Mako saddles for the ultimate duo of easy loading and boat security. Each pair of HullyRollers includes one Heavy-Duty Strap and one Bow/Stern Tie-Down. The coated metal buckles protect boat and vehicle. Save your arm strength for paddling with the Yakima HullyRollers.

    Sizing for Yakima HullyRollers:

The Yakima HullyRollers are designed to fit rack systems with round or square crossbars. For factory or aerodynamic crossbars, you will also need to purchase Mighty Mounts (sold separately). Just select them under the Buy Together feature to the right. Comes with two rollers per package (1 pair). To complete the system and carry your boat, please add Mako Aero saddles, also available under the Buy Togethers to the right. I originally installed Hully Rollers on both cross bars. There is a problem with doing this. When a kayak is loaded onto the Hully Rollers, the kayak will continue to roll off the rollers and will roll off the end onto the ground. This free rolling is a big problem if the vehicle is on an incline. After almost losing a free-rolling kayak I took one pair of Hully Rollers off and replaced them with Mako saddles. I roll the kayak up on the rollers, tilt the kayak on the rollers onto the saddle and the saddle keeps the kayak from free rolling off the opposite end. The saddle will also center the kayak.

I have been using my rollers with a pair of Mako saddles for three years and have no complaints. Without the rollers, I'd be in big trouble. I'm able to put a 17' Dagger on top of a Ford E150 van by myself, and I'm not very tall. I overload the boat and drive too fast and have had no trouble to date.
