Very nice rack, as all Yakima products are. I bought this because my new MTB has a 15mm thru axle, and road bike has carbon dropouts, which will not work with the fork mounted Vipers I currently own. This will work on my Yakima bars for my Subaru Outback very nicely. This thing is huge, and very beefy. The comment that it looks like a missile launcher on the car is entirely accurate. I find this to be lower and sleeker than the Frontloader, thereby reducing the gas mileage hit. Loading the bikes on top of the Outback with this is pretty easy and straight forward for someone 6ft tall. My wife struggles with it at 5ft 8in, without the rack being mounted outboard of the roof rack mounts. The rack itself is easily adjustable for different wheel diameters, and accommodates all of my bikes. Once you get the bike up and screw down the red knob, I like to try and lift the front wheel to make sure its secure. If the front tire won't lift, you've secured it correctly. My only gripe is the lack of a built in locking mechanism to keep the rack on the car. I have the accessory lock housing to go with it, but it just looks cheesy. I wish they could integrate something along the lines of the Frontloader to make it easy, and without making you buy something extra.
