Wilderness Systems Kids' Tsunami SP Kayak - Paddling is a family pursuit, and for many paddlers it was that introduction to the sport in their formative years that lead to their love for the water. With that in mind, Wilderness Systems designed the Tsunami SP specifically for younger paddlers. This innovative design fuses recreational boat stability with touring boat outfitting and speed. Built for paddlers 60 to 120 pounds, the SP has a narrower width and smaller cockpit to better accommodate smaller bodies. Adjustable foot braces, thigh braces, and backband allow kids to change the fit for conditions (or growth!). Gen2 high-density polyethylene plastic was chosen to provide a balance of all the material properties that make an outstanding recreational kayak. Amazingly resilient for its weight, Gen2 results in boats with thin, stiff walls that stand up to the demands of the sport and minimize the distortion that is inevitable over time. Gen2 also produces a smoother finish with richer, longer lasting colors. Fore and aft hatches with watertight bulkheads provide generous storage for gear on extended trips. Bow and stern deck rigging keep essential items nearby, and the perimeter line adds visibility and safety. With the Tsunami SP, you're never too young to get on the water! The Tsunami 12.5 is perfect for any type of calm water paddling and has a comfortable roomy cockpit. The Tsunami 13.5 is designed for the small adult and is stable and easy to turn. The Tsunami 14.5 follows suit but offers additional hull speed and more storage capacity. The Tsunami 16.5 is the choice for more speed and tracking, or multiple days on the water.
