    I'm new to kayaking after having fished from a 16' fiberglass bass boat for the last 8 years in the Crystal River, Florida area. Anyone familiar with this location knows the dangers of low water and hazardous oyster bars. Now, I'm able to get to where the fish are without hesitation. After researching many kayak companies and even going to one lake demo in Ocala to try out the most popular brands, I was always drawn back to the Pungo 12. It accelerates easily, tracts in a straight line even in rough conditions (1 ½’ swells in 25 knot winds today), is a pleasure to fish from because of the comfortable seating system and large cockpit, and is priced fairly.
