Our product return and exchange process is very easy. Simply return the product within 30 days of the date of purchase. Fill out the return form on the back of the invoice you received and send it with the product. Werner Advantage Fiberglass 1-piece Stand Up Paddle - The Advantage fiberglass stand up paddle is the perfect combination of durability and value. Its mid-size premium laminate fiberglass blade has a balanced tear drop design offers gentle power and a smooth easy stroke. A slight spoon at the tip creates a clean catch that is immediately powerful. A rear dihedral makes the Advantage perfect for straight ahead tracking with minimal flutter. The 1-piece continuous weave fiberglass shaft offers a light swing weight and great durability. Ovalized indexing and an ergonomic ABS palm grip allow for a good hand fit and controlled strokes. This paddle is heavier than the full carbon paddles but not enough to really bug me. With a price of $219 for a one piece, some extra ounces are ok, for sure. The blade is like nothing that I’ve seen so far. It has a scoop throughout the whole blade and is really thin except for a rectangle shaped spine in the middle which I assume is for reinforcement. The handle is also different; it's a cross between a T grip and palm grip. Even without a dihedral it tracks straight. It has a very consistent feeling through the entire stroke. The blade really seemed to give good propulsion even when only dipping the tip in while trying to stay on the ocean swells. And did I mention the price?! Yeah, I recommend this one for sure!

While it might not be ideal for someone using a standup paddle in the ocean to go with this over carbon, I can attest that this is the best standup paddle on the market for down river use. Great bite, great balance, no flutter, and even after a whole year of scraping mountain stream bedrock, the blade shows very few scratches. When the wind picks up, this paddle is light enough (my version is 86") to sit down with and use as a standard canoe paddle til things calm down. Folks using this paddle for down river may do well to add 12"+ inches to his/her heigh when selecting length, rather than the 8-10" recommended by Werner for use in the ocean.
