Patagonia Midweight Merino Hiking Crew Socks - Midweight cushioning for comfort, the Midweight Merino Hiking Crew Socks by Patagonia are designed for a long life on the trail. Chlorine-free merino wool, responsibly sourced from the grasslands of Patagonia, is blended with nylon and spandex for itch-free feel and exceptional breathability in a hiking sock. They have excellent stretch and recovery that lasts the lifetime of the sock and feature a soft midweight terry-loop footbed that provides substantial cushioning for your feet. A mesh-arch brace provides a snug fit while the rib-knit shaft holds the crew length sock comfortably in place. These hiking socks are finished off with looped Lintoe construction that creates the smallest and flattest seams possible for maximum toe comfort inside hiking boots. You'll love the fit and feel of the Patagonia Midweight Merino Hiking Crew Socks.

Love these socks. Just finished a late season backpacking trip in B.C. and wore them everyday. Socks and good footwear make the difference in the backcountry. I'm going to order three more pairs right now!

I love these socks ...I've been buying them for years. Great for hiking, biking, snow shoeing, even with bedroom slippers on a cold winter night.

Just enough cushion to keep my feet from becoming traumatized on long rocky hikes, and they barely even smell after 3-4 days. They wash up nicely too - still soft and cushy without excess volume in the boot.

These were my first foray into wool socks. I love the feel of the sock here in the desert spring heat. But you should NOT wash these with any velcro. After the first wash tore these socks apart I did some research and found this blurb on another site. Wool is less resistant to abrasion that other fibers. Therefore never wash wool with any item that includes exposed hook-and-loop (rip-and-stick) fasteners on cuffs or pockets. For optimal care, wash wool items only with other soft garments, such as other knits. They are right if not understated.
