The Trident 11 features a bow hatch, large tank well and roomy cockpit. The unique Rod Pod storage and mounting system allows you to store your fishing rods from a seated position. Adjustable foot pegs fit most leg lengths and allow you to ride with ease. The Prowler Trident 11 is a great choice for inland waters, slow moving rivers and moderate ocean swells.
Extrasport Loch PFD: Versatile and functional, the Loch PFD from Extrasport offers unrestricted mobility and the ultimate in comfort. Classic quad-hinged foam wraps comfortably around your body and the RetroGlide adjustment system lets you custom-tailor the fit to your body. Low-cut armholes give you full-range mobility. The full-length front zipper makes taking the Loch on and off easy. A neoprene-covered adjustable waistband helps keep everything in place. With Hypalon accents and reflective shoulders and piping, the Extrasport Loch PFD is ready for water travel.
The Trident 11 seemed like a neat little boat when I first saw it, relatively light-weight at 54lbs (fully loaded with rod-pod), and it is the widest of the Trident line at 30.5’’. This extra width makes for a small stable craft with amazing storage capacity. With the rod-pod spear fishermen can store their guns and catch, the rear tank-well is large enough to handle tank and BC so it’s not just for hook and line fishermen! We first took the boats out in the ICW in Hollywood, FL for a test paddle Sunday morning and those present were quite impressed with the Trident 11. I usually find that 11’ kayaks will be sluggish, especially a wide kayak but surprisingly the Trident 11 responded quite well, even against the tide and wind. As a testament to its stability we jumped from the 11 to a Trident 13 several times on the water, you can actually stand two people on the 11 without sinking it, although I wouldn’t recommend it. I found it an incredibly dry ride at 6’1’’ 175lbs and some of the heavier paddlers who tested it that day mentioned the same thing, it’s great to have a kayak that accommodates a wide spectrum of paddlers. The Trident 11 Angler model comes with a seat, perimeter lines, tank-well bungee, carry handles, rod-pod and flush-mount rod-holders but you may opt to save money and install the rod-pod yourself with the rod-holders of your choosing. Adjustable foot braces are a new standard for the Tridents 11 and definitely a welcome change as not everyone’s feet sat comfortably in the former fixed-position plastic foot braces. Overall, I was really impressed with this yak and you will be too!

I took possession today of a new OK Trident 11 as I was searching for a fairly short and light yak to replace my Tarpon 100. Tossed it in the bay today during conditions of brisk wind and medium chop. The Trident 11 will prove to be a very popular yak for fishermen/women... it is fast for a short yak, remarkably stable, tracks just dandy, and is very nimble indeed. I must say my yak fishing life would be difficult from now on without a "rod pod" which I can easily access on the water. The Trident 11 does the things I want it to do much better than my Prowler 13 and is light years beyond my Tarpon 100... I have fished more than a few yaks, but none have surprised me more in a positive way than does the Trident 11.

Ocean Kayak's Prowler Trident 11 is an awesome compact sit-on-top. It has a cross lock front hatch and rod pod, like the Trident 13 and 15, and is a smaller version of the longer models without the sonar shield. The kayak is surprisingly fast for an 11 foot kayak, and is extremely stable. this is a great kayak, especially for someone looking for a smaller or more portable kayak.
