Sizing for NRS Women's Flux Kayak Drytop:
This is the newest dry top from NRS which I've been hoping for all these years. The Flux is lightweight and breathable with a “volcano” gasket on the neck instead of a velcro strap. It has a slick inner surface to make it slide on easy and it won’t give you neck rash! It has a generous cut to give you full range of motion for paddling. It also has no pockets to get in your way. I’ve been trying this top out now that the weather has improved and I found that it's the epitome of dry comfort. If you don’t want to spend the money for Gore-Tex then this is the way to go. Lightweight, dry, and comfortable… the perfect combination!
A little too soon to tell, but after two trips out on the water so far I am liking the flux. Both times out the temp was around 90 degrees F with the water being somewhere in the 40s. I was not too hot the entire time. I am anxious to see how the flux performs in colder water as the material is thinner than my 'older NRS drytop, but so far I am satisfied. The fit is loose with the gaskets being band new they are not very tight, I am curious to see if they will stretch to become too big. ANyways to in conclusion still too soon to tell but as of now I am satisfied.
I love this Dry top, but I wish it had a pocket for small items, like a car key. : ) Other than that it's great.
I use this jacket for whitewater kayaking and it's been great so far. I'm usually cold but with this jacket i feel warm even when i fall into the water(and that happens a lot!). I would say that the best thing about this jacket is that it is really waterproof.
