Womens Variant Insulated Jacket
|Marmot Women's Variant Insulated Jacket - An ingenious hybrid design sets the Women's Variant Jacket from Marmot apart. The Variant is comprised of Polartec Power Stretch material in the back, sleeves and side panels while Thermal R insulation is sewn into the front panels creating a surprisingly warm garment that never feels bulky. Thermal R is a unique combination of multi-channel and hollow fibers that is designed to provide maximum warmth while reducing the adverse effects of perspiration, condensation and humidity. The fine multi-channeled fiber transports away moisture while the hollow fibers provide excellent loft with minimum weight. This insulation is resilient, has an excellent warmth to weight ratio, and is highly durable. Polartec Power Stretch fabrics feature a proprietary construction with two unique surfaces: the durable nylon outer layer is wind- and abrasion-resistant; the soft inner layer pulls moisture away from your skin keeping you dry, warm and comfortable. Sweat is wicked off the skin to the outside of the fabric where it spreads out to many times its original surface area, enabling it to dry at least 2 times faster than cotton. The Marmot Women's Variant Jacket is your best choice for highly active cold weather excursions when freedom of movement is crucial.
Sizing for the Marmot Women's Variant Insulated Jacket:
Great for layering during ski season or a nice spring day. Love the color - washes very well. Definitely recommend this.
The Polartec fabric with 4 way stretch gives movement, and the thermal, quilted body provides warmth without bulking you out like Bib The Michelin Man. Thumb-holes in the sleeves mean you can get the sleeves right down over your wrists to keep out wind and snow. LOVE this piece ! The cut is athletic without being skimpy, and fits honest-to-god-true-to-a-real-woman's-body.
I needed a jacket to run in throughout the winter here in New England and this has been perfect! It blocks wind on my chest but sleeves allow freedom of movement and wicking. I wear 2 slim long sleeve running shirts underneath and with a hat and gloves I am good to go in almost any winter weather. I wear less under when its warmer ( 30+) and its great. Definitely recommend!
I bought this 3 weeks ago and already took it camping and hiking with me! I absolutely LOVE it. It's amazing, flexible, very light and warm. The price is high but well worth your penny. I plan on buying more in the near future!!
