Marmot Never Winter 30 Degree Down Sleeping Bag - The Never Winter 30 Down Sleeping Bag by Marmot is an ideal summer bag for camping and river trips, but it also has enough down insulation to keep you warm when frost is in the air. The Never Winter is made of 650 Fill Power Down with Down Defender for added water-resistance in wet conditions. A trapezoidal footbox, designed to match the shape of your feet, offers more space in the toe area and more narrow at your heels. A ground level zipper reduces heat loss while the oversized down stuffed draft tube and Nautilus Hood create a warm snuggly cocoon. Two-way zipper slides, zipper guards and 2 hang loops finish off this great bag. You'll never notice the temperature drop in the Marmot Never Winter 30 Degree Down Sleeping Bag!

I use the bag (8 nights so far) for summer camping/backpacking. One of those nights I could tell it was quite cold for a summer night (~43 deg), but I didn't know that...except for my face. I'm pretty cold-tolerant so I'm confident this bag will work for me all the way down into the low-mid 20's if I put on a layer of wool. The "snag free zipper" feature? All I can say is they must have done all their testing in bright light and from outside the bag using both hands. For me, the zipper snagged EVERY time I tried to move it, either direction. I was able, eventually, to recognize the snags when they were small (by feel, in the dark) and back the zipper out before it turned into the freakish mess I had experienced the first few nights.

I bought this bag to give me a lighter alternative to my Marmot Never Summer winter bag. It's lighter, but still very warm--I've pushed the degree rating a bit and it's been fine.
