Womens Bora GTX QC WS GORE TEX Hiking Boots
|Lowa Women's Bora GTX QC WS Hiking Boots - An extremely popular light hiking shoe, the Women's Bora GTX QC WS Hiking Boots by Lowa are ideal for casual day hikes and weekend adventures. Featuring a moisture-wicking footbed, three-quarter-length nylon shank, and padded tongue and collar, these hiking boots are designed for days on the trails or hiking in the wildflower meadows. The Bora features a breathable, waterproof Gore-Tex lining that reduces hot spots and the possibility of blisters. This helps your feet stay dry and comfortable in wet conditions. Thanks to its flexible split leather and cordura upper, the Bora requires no break-in time. The upper securely holds the foot in place to reduce strain on the toes, and the Monowrap Frame midsole technology reduces overall boot weight while providing cushioning and lateral stability. A climate-control footbed keeps your feet cool, dry, and blister free. Perforations in the boot's lining allow air to circulate and wick moisture away from your foot, minimizing friction and fatigue. The Vibram Evo outsole ensures traction on wet and dry trails. Waterproof and breathable, the Women's Bora GTX QC WS Hiking Boots combine lightweight comfort with sure-footedness creating the perfect 3-season hiking boot.
Sizing for the Lowa Women's Bora GTX QC WS Hiking Boots:
Busted these boots out for their maiden voyage on a 9-mile day hike near Portland. It was an incredibly rainy day and the boots held up great. Stayed dry, incredibly comfortable, and I had no issues with discomfort due to the first use. I would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable waterproof boot. Only con is that they did seem a bit large for size, but I appreciated the extra toe room, laced them up tight, and wore thicker socks without any issues.
I bought these to replace a pair of hiking boots that had worn out. The newer version of my old brand didn't fit the same - too snug in the toes. What I like about the Lowas is the way they hug my foot more through the arch and mid-foot and have more room in the toes. Very comfortable right from day one. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that the laces tend to loosen up around the ankles when hiking on uneven terrain. I mostly do short hikes - 4 miles or so - so not that big a deal but a bit annoying considering how good they are in other areas. The boots are very light-weight, but feel sturdy, and my feet have stayed dry though I have hiked through some pretty heavy slush. I have only had them a couple of weeks but am very happy so far.
These are very light but extremely supportive, especially for ankles! They did not need to be broken in before backpacking and were supportive enough for a heavy load but light enough that I didn't feel weighed down. They are sturdy and extremely comfortable - the kind of boots I want to wear every day just because they feel so good. I can't wait for my next hike, just to wear them again!
