Remix XP 10: The Liquid Logic Remix XP 10 hybrid kayak was designed to bridge the gap between whitewater and flatwater paddling once and for all. An extension of Liquidlogic's popular river runner series, the Remix XP 10 hybrid kayak is a whitewater-friendly boat perfect for beginners looking at venturing out for their first time as well as for intermediate and experienced paddlers wanting to camp out of their kayak. The Remix XP 10’s extended waterline and modified rocker allows it to cruise the flats with ease. Additional hull width achieves stability even when loaded to the gills with camping gear. The integral spring-loaded skeg offers superb tracking but tucks away to offer the agility needed on whitewater. The Remix XP 10 offers an easily accessible dry storage compartment through its large Backcess hatch. Easy on and off, the Backcess hatch dry storage compartment can easily hold a week’s worth of camping gear. The Liquidlogic Remix XP 10 kayak is the true crossover boat designed for you to have the time of your life!
Carbon Swell Plus: Make waves with the Swell! This performance paddle is designed for a more relaxed low-angle stroke and crafted with the most discerning kayak devotee in mind. With a T-700 carbon fiber shaft the Swell provides amazing durability for the weight. Balanced and flutter-free composite blades further reduce weight so you can paddle longer with less fatigue. With the Telescoping Adjustable Ferrule, you can customize your paddling experience instantly. Set the feather angle of your blades to minimize wind resistance without causing wrist fatigue. Telescope the Swell to the ideal length for your paddling style and conditions. Perfect for anything from day trips to full-blown expeditions, the Swell offers ultimate performance for any serious paddler.
Rocker PFD: Stohlquist's new Rocker lifejacket is their highest-performance kayak PFD yet. The body-wrapping, ergonomically articulated WRAPTURE shaped torso combines with the cross-chest cinch harness adjustment and self-tensioning shoulders for a balanced fit. Gripp-Loc interior non-slip panels mean zero ride-up, and multiple adjustment points further customize the fit. Free-floating suspended shoulder straps stretch as you move. Contoured and padded for comfort, the ballistic nylon textured surface with stiffeners adds protection and makes portaging easier. Multiple pockets allow you to carry needed essentials. A low cut, offset front-zip makes entry and exit simple, and reflective accents help keep you visible in low light.
Extreme Skirt (2.5 Deck): When the going gets tough, the tough turn to the Extreme. This high-performance kayak spray skirt combines 3.5mm neoprene with a 3/8 bungee rand. This keeps your kayak skirt in place in even the roughest conditions, while still being easy to take on and off the boat. Seal-Tex edge guard help prevent abrasions in high-wear areas. The waterproof/breathable fabric tunnel mates easily with your paddling layers. It also features removable suspenders and an adjustable no-slip neoprene waistband. All seams are sealed to keep water where it belongs.

I just got back from a weekend in the Ozark mountains of Missouri. We ran Indian creek, Big Sugar creek and the Little Sugar creek. This boat is unreal! These small creeks are very shallow and at this time of the year have water temps in the 70 degree range. Indian Creek drops about 30 feet in its last 2.9 miles before entering the elk. It probably averages only 50 feet wide and is littered with strainers(dead fallen trees). There are no real big drops in the creek. However there is a section that has three 2 foot falls within 450 feet. The boat works so good that I was amazed. Lots of places on the creek you only have 6-8 feet of width to work with. The LL Remix XP-10 is great for this kind of creek. I'm not the best paddler, that's for sure. But the boat is a great kayak for many of the small tight streams in the Ozarks. If you buy one you won't be sorry. This little creek is not big whitewater, but it is very technical and things happen fast. We did the 2.9 miles in just 17 minutes. I think that's about 10 miles per hour. Just buy one!!!

This was my second kayak purchase but my first whitewater boat. I'm a novice paddler who is 5'11" and weigh 190#. I bought a 2010 XP10 for river running and for surfing on Lake Superior. My experience with this boat, is that it is excellent in any kind of whitewater. I have done Class II and III rapids with ease. I would give the boat far more credit than my own skills. This boat is amazing in rough water. I have been out on Lake Superior in 4-5ft waves with strong winds. The XP10 performed great in those conditions. Paddling companions were struggling while I was not. In fact, one of my friends purchased an XP9 after watching my boat's performance in the surf. I was less impressed with the XP's flatwater performance. This boat is very slow. The harder I paddle the more the bow pushes water. The bow is designed for flotation and lift not speed. Keep this in mind if you are buying this boat to use in mild conditions. Another advantage of this boat, is the stability. It has excellent initial and secondary stability. This boat can be put up on edge at any time but could also be used for fishing. Novices feel very safe in this boat. Another positive worth mentioning is the Badass outfitting. This is a very comfortable boat. I can spend many hours paddling without any discomfort. I do wish that I could adjust the seat forward and aft so I could trim the boat better for conditions. I think the 2011 models may have this feature. I do agree with some of the other reviewers about the dry hatch. Mine has never been dry at the end of a trip even in mild water. My guess is that the skeg cable leaks but I have not attempted to fix it as I don't use the hatch. Overall, this is a great boat for someone looking for a comfortable, great handling boat for whitewater conditions. If you are looking for speed, look elsewhere.

New to kayaking. Have owned my xp10 for seven weeks. This will be a great expedition whitewater boat for me. Between the cargo hatch and the space behind the seat there's probably enough space for 2 peoples gear on a week long trip (based on my experience in long range bicycle touring). I'm about 6'4" 230 with 36waist. Had to take the hips in 2inches on both sides. The cockpits so big if you hit your head on a rock hard enough (upside down) you can get yanked out. Rolling is easy unless your form is sloppy. Have got this boat pinned and bent in half(don't kayak tired...duh). Kicked it out with only slight visual evidence remaining. Have done class III+ with no problems. As a river runner this boat murders whitewater. As long as the paddle's in the water the boat will do the rest. Great beginner boat due to stability. The size also forces a newbie to learn proper rolling and turning. Will be getting a creek boat for the rock gardens and surfing holes.

After purchasing a tandem I looked for an all river boat and bought mine in Boise, ID. What a great boat! I am 6' 220 lbs and the boat handles itself well in flat water, with the skeg down, and class 2 plus with it up. However the dry bulkhead is another story, its not really dry, more like drippy. I have had over a liter of water in the dry compartment and discovered that the bulkhead leaks if you get any water in the boat. So a skirt (even in hot weather) is a must. All in all, I would not trade my boat for all the tea in china. What a hoot!!!

LOVE IT! I'm 5,10 185#. Did 26 miles, 3 days 2 nights camping trip. Start of trip was flat water then it slowly turned into class 3 rapids. Now I'm kind of new to kayaking so my skills still need some work but this thing kicks butt! Packed my gear and my son's gear in this thing and still never had any problems! The hatch is not water tight but what did leak was about a cup of water the hole trip. Do use a skirt though because of low sides and it will take on water. I know 1st hand; I hit a nice set of 4 foot rapids and took on water. My dumb thinking, not the kayak. So I got the water out (gear still dry) and put on the skirt and not a problem after that. This thing hit them rapids and wanted more! Got some air too!! Love it!!
