Sizing for Kokatat Men's Tropos Super Breeze Kayak Paddling Jacket
I bought this to replace an old jacket I use for sailing. The cut of the top gives more room than traditional sailing jackets, especially when I wear a PFD and trapeze harness over the top. It is very waterproof, the water beads nicely and I was kept very warm on a day where I was sailing on a cold day in rough conditions and getting very wet. I have used the jacket only once and cannot comment on durability.

I first used the Super Breeze Splash Jacket on a rafting trip over a wetsuit. It was very comfortable and didn’t hamper my range of motion. When I was splashed, the water just rolled off the tropos material and it breathed fairly well. Tropos is probably not as breathable as Gore-tex under ideal circumstances, but considering what I’d be doing I think it was a great choice for me. I highly recommend this if you paddle in cooler waters where you might get splashed.

I bought my first kayak, a Caper sit-on-top, this year. I live in Florida where it’s warm most of the time. Some times early in the morning or as the sun sets there is a slight breeze in the air and during the afternoons a quick little rain storm can come out of nowhere. I was looking for some type of breathable jacket that I could take on the kayak with me, just in case. I found this Super Breeze from Kokatat to be just the jacket that I needed. It was a great value for my money!
