|CRKT Bear Claw Knife - The Bear Claw knife from CRKT is a cutting machine, making it the perfect emergency knife to quickly cut rope, webbing or netting. Thanks to the generously-sized finger hole, the Bear Claw acts just like an extension of your hand, easy to grip and hard to lose. The tear drop design with a Triple-Point serrated blade concentrates your cutting motion, while the blunt tip prevents accidental penetration. Friction grooves maximize blade control and safety. A high-tech Zytel sheath securely holds the Bear Claw, but releases efficiently with a push of your thumb. A removable pocket clip and multiple lanyard/belt holes give you a variety of carry positions. The choice of rescue personnel, bush pilots, and commercial fisherman, the CRKT Bear Claw knife is the knife you want when your life depends on it.|
Cutting through rope should not be like cutting warm butter unless you really need to get through it in a hurry, that’s where this little gem comes in handy. It make short work of avacado's too!
I really like the design its safest around, you would find it difficult to accidentally cut yourself or your gear with the claw shape design its awesome. However there is a big draw back, my knife fell out when I was rolling/kayaking so if you don't have it with you its not much use. Very disappointing because its such a good knife apart from that.
This knife lives on my PFD, up high on my left shoulder. It takes up little room but is there for me to grab in case of entanglement. I like the finger hole for secure handling, and the tight fit in the sheath. It has never slipped out, though I wear it handle-down. You should know that the stainless steel WILL rust after exposure to salt water. I rinse my knife in fresh water to prevent that. I love this knife. It could only be improved if it were titanium.
I've had one of these on my PFD for several years now and purchased another one for my wife's jacket. Finger hole makes for superior grip when wearing gloves. I have put many river miles toting this knife while kayaking and rafting - never had it self-eject from its sheath. A river knife meant to get you out of sticky situations doesn't come better designed than this.

Great PFD knife. You know where it is in your hand, due to best grip design ever. I loved the sheath, and mounted at angle facing up. No problems with coming out. Cuts rope like a lazer. Love it. I will pick another for my wife.
